CFD:
In aerospace, CFD stands for Computational Fluid Dynamics, which essentially maps aerodynamic flow around a body to see statistics such as drag, efficiency, and performance. For my rockets, I use open-source software called BARAMFlow and BARAMMesh.
Aerodynamic drag is the primary constraint on apogee. This section outlines the CFD workflow used to reduce the drag coefficient and ultimately increase the predicted flight ceiling, this allows for a better understanding of fluid-structure that simulators such as OpenRocket or Rocksim cannot capture.
